Overdue but...

Fourth quarter happenings... or better yet, what's happened since exams ended. It's commonly called cramming everything that has to be done for the rest of the year in five weeks.

1. Pre proms - it's either you take is as a i-want-a-gathering-but-i-have-no-better-reason event, or taking it seriously: meeting everybody else in your table. For WR, after endless day changing (which still ended up being abnormally early, because we're all very busy people), and endless venue changing (because of people's permissions etc.), it became a power plant post exam de-stress day. Cultural (watching Sweeney Todd, the musical), discovering the inner child (Power station) discriminatory (shopping), and typical (dinner). SR's was endlessly on and off, (ano ba, tuloy pa ba?), but it ended up pushing through. Town after family day, thus pigging out in i-don't-know-the-name-of-that-resto-beside-cibo, and cafe breton. (highlight of the night: Cato's ability to carry anything...)

2. Giovs' debut - No candles no roses, just fashion and fierce poses. This debut wasn't scheduled conveniently to WR students, it being the day before family day. But, it was the coolest/kyottest. Venue was galing, a pavilion in the fort (which actually, should be venues for all events instead of hotel ballrooms coz you can pick your caterer), and super customized for Giovanna (in this sense, GioVanna, just the way Mikki likes to pronounce it). Theme was America's Next Top Model, thus with a fashion show (OMG, Mica Pena literally dressed up and made up!). Haaappy birthday Giovs, fabulous debut! :) Twas also a reunion of sorts, running into last year's seniors.

3. Family Day - I had exactly TWO hours of sleep that night. Coming in from Giovs', I got to the house at 1. Had cornrows done until 2. Slept at 2. Needed to be in Carissa's house before 5, so woke up at 4. But it was worth it, the mommy costumes were GORGEOUS. Although, they hurt like hell, esp. the earrings, we couldn't do choreography. And, the parade went REALLY WELL. We didn't end up winning it, but coming in second was really really great. Congratulations to Red, (thus, Gaba) for winning over-all, and to Blue for a first prize parade. OMG... that was the LAST family day. I was prolly super tired compared to all the other years, but it was worth it. I'll miss eeeeet!!

Now... THE REALITY OF FOURTH QUARTER --- all the listed have to be accompished in four weeks. Note we only have 20 days of school left. But, the teachers probably want to make them seem like the longest 20 days of our lives.

Last stretch guys. It's going to be unforgettably... HARD.

I'm back to my time tabled life... I miss spontaineity) 1. WIT - actually this is done... it went well!! We got some possible new recruits... and it was actually fun to miss a lot of class to adj debates... and miss even more class tabbing... 2. Campaign - hasn't started... but being campaign manager has its perks and downfalls (such as shortened lunch). MOVE doesn't have a final line up yet... but anyway... it's currently on low priority... 3. Sendoff - gawd don't talk to me about this. I haven't started yet. I will, when I actually have the time to do so. 4. Prom - just finished up getting the last minute things... I'm going to spend the week breathing now... just those reaaaally minor details na lang... JUST GET IT OVER WITH NA! I swear, the planning and talking n...

To restage or not to restage...

The poll is up. Should the Gabay production of Songs for a New World do a restaging? Hit the comment button, and state your name, answer, and justification. This way, certain people won't vote numerous times. I cannot believe I'm even opening to that situation.

WR Debaters are sorority sisters... :)

It's been a little bit under hell over the past two days, so it's been hard to find the time to blog about IISDC. The teachers decided to give no mercy and imposed all make up tests to be taken today. Naturally, we died studying last night. But... the point is... it was well worth it. It's super hard to actually describe IISDC 2006, so here's the rundown on the highlights. 1. Mega SQUISH!! 12 people in Eagle star!! - Just when we thought that 8 people in a condo was difficult last year, we tried 12 this year. It took a lot of mattresses and fixing up every single day, lots of squishing, waiting for Gaba to turn off the lights, and sleeping on the floor. Imagine, the condo is originally for two people, and we fit six times more than that. Achievement! Well, it just involved having no space after all the bags were unloaded and after the sleeping bags were rolled down. But, that just adds to the fun of it! 2. No sleep, really - okay, so we still slept a little, but we woul...
