Prom hangover...

5 ways in which you know people are still hungover last saturday's prom...
1. Almost everybody wears their prom earrings giveaways to school.
2. Talking about the food meticulously when we were supposed to be doing a religion seatwork.
3. The little kwentos about the tiniest details... such as "We got lost looking for our hotel room!" "I super hated the food!" ... and the works... these stuff happen in between, before, and after class.
4. People coming in at third subject just for extra sleeping time during Monday morning. I should have done that as well.
5. "The people who are simply spacing out during class, smiling softly"... according to Ms. Carillo.

Okaaay... here comes the long and winding blog about what everybody's been talking about for months... it got on full swing when the year started... and started to get frustrating during the last week... and now people don't stop talking about it. Here's my little attempt at trying to make things a little bit different.

First of all I'd like to thank Aton Valera for my gown, and South Salon for my hair and make up. :) It looked greaaat that night! :) Thanks to Edsa Shang that agreed to host for the night.

Thanks much for the WR prom committee, who did a really great job of organizing the event. It meant a really cool ceiling centrepiece... flowers and pearls on our tables (which we totally murdered in order to bring home certain pieces)... the cutest giveaways: earrings and shot glasses (I got both!! Hahaha)... and good food (although I could eat that much coz I swear I could feel my gown constricting)

Thanks much to the usherettes, (Monmen, Ina, Karina, and Fred among others) who helped us get around during prom. It makes things easier particularly when you were a tad late. (What do you mean a tad?!)

Thanks much to all the people who agreed to take my pictures for me during prom. Hahaha, thanks for standing my camwhorring moments.

Thanks much to our little after party crowd, I will try to list all of you (Jarvin, Gel, Miko V., Isha, Miko S., Anton, Cath, Dino, Therese, Ejay, Pola). Thanks for making the after party really really fun, singing the entirrreee night! And also for bearing with your stressed organizer as we were trying to sort out the payments. I probably don't want to organize stuff like that ever, but I think I'll do it all over again if it's that fun! Sorry kung bitin... I swear! Includes the people who walked in and out of the room... I failed to keep track of this...

Thanks much to the people in my table (Jarvin, Gel, Miko, Isha, BJ, Pin, Jason, Danna). It was so much fun picking at the flowers and stuff... hahahaha!

Thanks muuuuchh to our seniors!! I swear, I loved the senior tribute SOOO much! I really wanted to cry! Nav, thanks for the candle, which I lost... sorry!! Thanks also to the people who put the video together, it was super cool! I will miss the seniors A LOT, particularly our debate family!

Thanks to everybody whom I ran into that night that made prom really really fun... the dance "circle" hahahahah and all that... :) If I failed to see you at all that night, I'm reaaally sorry. I tried to look for most people. Everyone looked reaaally really pretty that night.

Thanks much to my dear besties Gel and Isha... who went thru the stresses of prom planning, date asking, hotel booking, dress fitting, accessory shopping, and my little issues (i.e. chicken pox, ruined dresses, the controversy, and all that) with me. Also for our little sleepover... what sleepover? Did we even sleep?

Mega thanks goes to Mikki... who also went through the hassles of the above, just differently. Thanks for the ride there, the ride back, and every single thing in between. (Includes the whole ID thing... can't believe I forgot mine!) And, I am still reaaally sorry for completely ruining the after plans (as well as everyone who planned that as well)

That was it na guys. The shots are up at the multiply site. Leech, comment, and do the works. Now, it's back to school, where things are completely merciless!!!

The checklist...

A lot is going on... A LOT. None of which are done yet, btw... so a-la-Nash-reply speech... I'll just go down a quick check list... on what the hell I'm supposed to be doing... (gaaah... I'm back to my time tabled life... I miss spontaineity) 1. WIT - actually this is done... it went well!! We got some possible new recruits... and it was actually fun to miss a lot of class to adj debates... and miss even more class tabbing... 2. Campaign - hasn't started... but being campaign manager has its perks and downfalls (such as shortened lunch). MOVE doesn't have a final line up yet... but anyway... it's currently on low priority... 3. Sendoff - gawd don't talk to me about this. I haven't started yet. I will, when I actually have the time to do so. 4. Prom - just finished up getting the last minute things... I'm going to spend the week breathing now... just those reaaaally minor details na lang... JUST GET IT OVER WITH NA! I swear, the planning and talking n...

To restage or not to restage...

The poll is up. Should the Gabay production of Songs for a New World do a restaging? Hit the comment button, and state your name, answer, and justification. This way, certain people won't vote numerous times. I cannot believe I'm even opening to that situation.

WR Debaters are sorority sisters... :)

It's been a little bit under hell over the past two days, so it's been hard to find the time to blog about IISDC. The teachers decided to give no mercy and imposed all make up tests to be taken today. Naturally, we died studying last night. But... the point is... it was well worth it. It's super hard to actually describe IISDC 2006, so here's the rundown on the highlights. 1. Mega SQUISH!! 12 people in Eagle star!! - Just when we thought that 8 people in a condo was difficult last year, we tried 12 this year. It took a lot of mattresses and fixing up every single day, lots of squishing, waiting for Gaba to turn off the lights, and sleeping on the floor. Imagine, the condo is originally for two people, and we fit six times more than that. Achievement! Well, it just involved having no space after all the bags were unloaded and after the sleeping bags were rolled down. But, that just adds to the fun of it! 2. No sleep, really - okay, so we still slept a little, but we woul...
