Desserts... it's stressed spelled backwards...

We're down to the last THREE weeks of school... and believe me, things are only getting waaay harder. The word STRESS is an understatement... I can still sleep, but I can't probably sleep peacefully until March 18th.

1. the campaign - it's on full blast.... I like to MOVE it MOVE it!!! :D let's go MOVE!! The campaign has it's ups... such as the daunting quad practice which turned out to be really fun, little road trips feeling like PAs... getting the tarpolines and getting take out. Staying till 8pm trying to perfect a five minute performance for tomorrow's quad. I'm not joking, I love my party, they keep me sane sometimes. But there's EXTREME frustration of being a campaign manager. Needless to say, it's worse than running. The competition and pressure lies directly on you, like being director for a production. A really huge production. MOVE campaigns are my primary drain of sleep... its extra hours up printing posters and planning, extra hours staying after school, extra hours early for school. Can elections come na?!

2. Songs... - speaking of productions, I'm already working on one. Undergoing severe play insecurities right now. And guess what, I can't quit. I've already tried asking. *tries to breathe* Kaya toh... 10 rehearsals to go, thats the maximum number I have left, seriously. And 3 of those rehearsals are going to be bootcamp days... I am forewarning my cast already. My inner bitch will be breaking out. To make matters worse, PLAY SEASON is starting. And you know how much worse I get whenever I watch a new production. I'll be watching three within the next ten days.

3. debate - LAST tournament of the year, is THIS weekend. Another cause of sleep deprivation. Pressure, because ONE of our teams is five points away from the Grand Finals, and we have to debate for them this Saturday. BREAK BREAK BREAK. This is it na talaga. And it's our "trial" for next year. No senior debaters. It's us juniors and sophs na lang.

4. acads - the pressure of getting gold the last time is sinking in. And the call of those exemptions are PRICELESS right now. Not for the grades, for REHEARSALS!!

Schedule for this week:
Monday - quad practice until 8pm
Tuesday - debate training until 730 pm, quad first thing in the morning
Wednesday - chorale until 530, two long tests the next day
Thursday - chorale until 6, Insular play gala show
Friday - bayanan, rehearsal
Weekend - IDEA 3
by the end of the week... I will have collapsed...

The checklist...

A lot is going on... A LOT. None of which are done yet, btw... so a-la-Nash-reply speech... I'll just go down a quick check list... on what the hell I'm supposed to be doing... (gaaah... I'm back to my time tabled life... I miss spontaineity) 1. WIT - actually this is done... it went well!! We got some possible new recruits... and it was actually fun to miss a lot of class to adj debates... and miss even more class tabbing... 2. Campaign - hasn't started... but being campaign manager has its perks and downfalls (such as shortened lunch). MOVE doesn't have a final line up yet... but anyway... it's currently on low priority... 3. Sendoff - gawd don't talk to me about this. I haven't started yet. I will, when I actually have the time to do so. 4. Prom - just finished up getting the last minute things... I'm going to spend the week breathing now... just those reaaaally minor details na lang... JUST GET IT OVER WITH NA! I swear, the planning and talking n...

To restage or not to restage...

The poll is up. Should the Gabay production of Songs for a New World do a restaging? Hit the comment button, and state your name, answer, and justification. This way, certain people won't vote numerous times. I cannot believe I'm even opening to that situation.

WR Debaters are sorority sisters... :)

It's been a little bit under hell over the past two days, so it's been hard to find the time to blog about IISDC. The teachers decided to give no mercy and imposed all make up tests to be taken today. Naturally, we died studying last night. But... the point is... it was well worth it. It's super hard to actually describe IISDC 2006, so here's the rundown on the highlights. 1. Mega SQUISH!! 12 people in Eagle star!! - Just when we thought that 8 people in a condo was difficult last year, we tried 12 this year. It took a lot of mattresses and fixing up every single day, lots of squishing, waiting for Gaba to turn off the lights, and sleeping on the floor. Imagine, the condo is originally for two people, and we fit six times more than that. Achievement! Well, it just involved having no space after all the bags were unloaded and after the sleeping bags were rolled down. But, that just adds to the fun of it! 2. No sleep, really - okay, so we still slept a little, but we woul...
