One of the funniest spontaneous moments of two bored neighbors... it's weird how I manage to do things like this despite my jam packed schedule... Thank God for Gel and her weird ideas...
(mini background: it was the afternoon after pre prom... Gel and I had compensated for our lost sleep over the past week. We found ourselves online... and then...)
Gel: Pammmm... I'm bored.
Pam: Wait lang gel. I'm revamping the debate powerpoint...
This goes on for a bit of a while... (at least until I finish the powerpoint and then I get bored myself) until...
Gel: The number one thought in my mind is... geom...
Pam: Hahaha. Prom is one of the last things in my mind right now.
Gel: I'm still so boreddd...
Pam: Gel, out of boredom. I'm going to list down the things preoccupying me in order of priority. One... where to get the minus ones for the play...
After a long list of what's preoccupying me... this happened to pop up...
Pam: Oh yeah. Also... how the hell am I going to waste all my gift checks?
(note: My mom got a HUGE stack of Brothers Burger gift checks worth 10,000, which is expiring on Feb.28)
Gel: Pam... let's go to Brothers and eat. Now.
Pam: Are you serious?
Gel: Yeah.
Pam: Do you have a car?
Gel: Yeah.
Pam: Are your parents willing?
Gel: Yeah.
Pam: I'm game, and I'm dressed. I'll get the gift checks.
Gel: G2g. I'll pick you up NOW.
Then followed a pig out session like no other. We ordered A LOT. The bill ended up a little bit over 400, so we had to order take out as not to waste the fifth gift check.
Pam: Gel, we were just in Westgate 12 hours ago.
Gel: I know. (stares outside the window at Cafe Breton, which happens to be across the street) Pam.
Pam: What?
Gel: I want crepe.
Pam: You just had crepe, last night lang!
Gel: I want another one.
Pam: Did you bring money?
Gel: No.
I will forever love Gel for that. Thanks dear, for all your odd and spontaneous moments. People with rough schedules need stuff like that. And to all, I still have A LOT more gift checks to waste. I'm not willing to give them away, hell no. But here comes the inviting of huge batches of people to Brothers Burger until the end of the month (it starts after prom).
And for the record... what exactly are the things preoccupying me... in order of priority...
1. Where are we going to get the minus ones for the play?
2. How are we going to fix Panty and Tabu's schedules for the play?
3. Is it possible to get my voice back in time for the concert?
4. Did I scrape that gold or not?
5. What's the motion for the demo debate on Monday?
6. What's due on Monday anyway?
7. Are we going to break in IDEA 3?
8. How am I going to waste all my gift checks?
9. Are we really going to scrap songs for the play?
10. Do I need a necklace to go with the tiny earrings I got?
11. Are my braces REALLY going to be removed this Friday?
12. Why is my dress taking so long?
13. Who's running for MOVE? What do I have to do to campaign?
But there's still the solitary thought: TEN SONGS. EIGHT WEEKS. FOUR PEOPLE. ONE PRODUCTION. WITH PROM, CONCERTS, TOURNEYS, EXAMS, TRYOUTS, SEND OFF, AND GRADES. CAN I ACTUALLY DO THIS? ARE YOU SURE? here goes...
